1. Introduction

Welcome to Auracle (operated by Auracle Learning Ltd.). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you as to how we look after your personal data when you visit our website or use the Auracle mobile application, and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

2. Data We Collect

We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together as follows:

Identity Data: Includes first name, last name, username, or screen name (such as details provided during Apple or Google Sign-In authentication).
Contact Data: Includes email address.
Audio and spoken answers: Your microphone audio is sent to Deepgram for speech-to-text transcription during spoken study. We also save answer text and related diagnostic events to investigate study problems. A microphone permission controls device access; it does not mean your answer stays on your device.
User Content: Includes custom study decks, lessons, and flashcards created by you; photos or files of notes/textbooks uploaded to generate cards using our AI tools; and general feedback, support descriptions, or screenshots uploaded by you.
AI processing: When you use AI content creation, the prompts, text, images or files you submit are sent to the AI providers used for that feature to generate study material. Text used to make spoken study audio is also sent to speech providers. Avoid submitting sensitive personal information about yourself or other people.
Purchases and subscriptions: Includes your plan, subscription status, customer and transaction identifiers and purchase history. Web payments are handled by Stripe. Native purchases are handled by Apple's App Store or Google Play and managed through RevenueCat. We do not store full payment-card numbers.
Usage Data: Includes study session stats (total seconds studied, correct/incorrect response counts, cards studied, review counters, and card suspension statuses) used to calculate your spaced repetition intervals.
Technical Data: Includes device installation identifiers, operating system version, connection status, login tokens, and IP address. At signup we also store the country derived from that IP address. We do not store a precise location.
Optional measurement: With your permission, Google Analytics measures how you use Auracle's website, including pages shown inside the mobile app. If you enable referral and conversion measurement, we remember creator referral links for up to 90 days and can measure signups and purchases. Personalised advertising is disabled. You can reject optional tracking or change your choices in Settings under Privacy choices, or using the controls at the top of this page.

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:

Providing Core App Functionality: Processing your spoken responses, playing study audio, saving your custom decks, and scheduling card review queues using our spaced repetition algorithm.
Account & Subscription Management: Managing user login sessions, verifying purchase receipts, and enforcing monthly study limits.
Customer Support: Responding to user feedback, app issues, and bug reports.
Product Diagnostics & Optimization: Analyzing card quality statistics (e.g. card suspension counts) to improve the default study catalog, and seeing which countries new learners sign up from.

4. Data Security

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know.

5. Your Legal Rights

Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data, including the right to request access, correction, erasure, restriction, transfer, to object to processing, to portability of data and (where the lawful ground of processing is consent) to withdraw consent.

You can request deletion in your account settings or contact support@auracle.live. Shared decks used by other learners may remain after your account is removed; contact us if they contain personal information you want erased. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple or Google subscription. Manage those subscriptions in your store settings.
