In this deck, we'll explore German word families. By recognising common prefixes, suffixes, and how words are combined, you can understand and learn new vocabulary much faster. We'll focus on words you'll hear in everyday spoken German.
Lesson#2
Let's start with a common prefix: 'un-'. Adding 'un-' to the beginning of an adjective usually makes it mean the opposite, just like 'un-' in English. For example, 'glücklich' means happy, so 'unglücklich' means unhappy.
