Lesson#1
In German, you can connect ideas by joining two sentences. When you use certain connecting words, the second sentence becomes a subordinate clause, which changes the word order. The most important rule to remember is that in these clauses, the conjugated verb moves to the very end of the sentence.
Lesson#2
Let's start with 'weil', which means 'because'. You use it to give a reason for something. For example, 'Ich lerne Deutsch, weil ich in Berlin arbeiten möchte'. Notice how the verb 'möchte' is at the end of the second part of the sentence.
Quiz#3
Translate into German: 'I'm staying at home because I am tired.'

Ich bleibe zu Hause, weil ich müde bin.

Quiz#4
Translate into German: 'He is learning German because his girlfriend is German.'

Er lernt Deutsch, weil seine Freundin Deutsche ist.

Quiz#5
Translate into German: 'We are not coming because we have no time.'

Wir kommen nicht, weil wir keine Zeit haben.

Lesson#6
The connector 'wenn' means 'if' or 'when'. You use it to talk about conditions or situations that happen regularly. For example, 'Ich helfe dir, wenn du Hilfe brauchst'. This means 'I'll help you if you need help'. Again, the verb 'brauchst' is at the end.
