Two key ideas are needed for any enlargement. The first is the scale factor. This is a number that tells you how many times bigger or smaller the shape will become. In this deck, we will only use positive whole numbers for the scale factor.

The second key idea for an enlargement is the centre of enlargement. This is a fixed point on the page from which the enlargement is measured. Think of it as the anchor point for the transformation.
