Internationally, Bristol is famous for its high-tech industries. It's home to the largest concentration of silicon chip manufacturers outside of California and is a global hub for aerospace technology, with companies like Airbus based there. It's also a creative powerhouse, known for street art and animation, thanks to studios like Aardman Animations, the creators of Wallace and Gromit.
